2008: Dear Irving and Toby Rosenblum, A link to a generation I never had the chance to meet

Dear Irving and Toby Rosenblum,

I have no idea how Ken’s parents would have felt about our marriage and blending of our families.  I so regret that both had passed long before all of you came into my life.  Today, I regret that Irving has since passed before I got around to sharing this letter.

I love all of Toby’s stories of all of those extended family trip adventures. Irving and I found common ground with tennis.   But even more significant is the link you have to this lost generation of the Rosenblum family and my chance to touch it in some way.  I occasionally bring out recipes that came from your kitchen.  Some are covered with hand written notes which I choose to believe is Lois’ scribble.

I love being part of this extended family and especially the chance to have known your generation.

With love,

Ann Simonds

She interviews experts in fields pertaining to motherhood, mothers themselves and all-around heartwarming and thought-provoking folk whom she hopes will make everyone’s journey easier, fuller and more joyful.
